Midsummer in Kuopio by the Lake – Welcome to Bellanranta!

Celebrate an urban Midsummer and enjoy the midnight sun with us at Bellanranta!

Expect a relaxed summer atmosphere and great company while taking in the beautiful lake scenery of Kallavesi. The highlight of Midsummer Eve is the traditional lakeside bonfire, bringing the authentic magic of midsummer to Bellanranta. The bonfire will be lit at 22:00 (10 PM) in the lake area between Bellanpuisto and Saana (weather permitting).

At Bellanranta, you can celebrate Midsummer your own way:

• Delicious Food & Drinks: Enjoy the offerings at Saana’s restaurants and terraces.
• Relaxation: Unwind in Saana’s Midsummer saunas and spa (Adults only / 18+ from 18:00 onwards).
• Boating: Dock your boat at Saana’s guest marina (overnight stay €18/day).
• Caravanning: Stay overnight with your motorhome or caravan at Saana’s caravan park.
• Lake Activities: Explore the lake on a SUP board, kayak, or jet ski. Rental equipment is available for Midsummer by booking in advance through Bella Wake.
• Outdoor Games: Play city golf, petanque, mölkky, or padel at Bellanpuisto.
• Relaxed Vibes: Simply enjoy the summer evening with family and friends.

Saana

• Midsummer Saunas & SPA: Open 12:00–23:00. Experience four different saunas: electric, smoke, tent, and traditional sauna.
• Midsummer Special Offer (June 19–20): Spa tickets only €15/person (Adults only / 18+ from 18:00 onwards).
• Terraces, Wing Restaurant & Pizzaana: Open 12:00–24:00 (Last orders at 23:30).
• Midsummer Delicacies: Featuring Saana’s creamy salmon soup and fresh fish from our own smokehouse.
• Midsummer Day (June 20): Saunas & SPA open 11:00–18:00. Pizzaana, Wing Restaurant, and terraces open 11:00–18:00.

Bellanpuisto

• City Golf, Petanque, and Padel Courts: Open 11:00–24:00 (June 20–21 open 11:00–21:00).
• Summer Café: Licensed to serve alcoholic beverages.
• New Activity: Mölkky (traditional Finnish throwing game) €20/lane (max. 6 people). Who will be the Midsummer Mölkky champion of your group?

Iso-Kallan Panimo (Brewery)

• Friday June 19 & Saturday June 20: Taproom, summer terrace, and brewery shop open 12:00–16:00 (open until 19:00 for private customer bookings).

Lignell & Piispanen Visitor Centre & Factory Shop

• Thursday June 18: Factory shop and bar open 14:00–18:00.
• Midsummer Eve & Midsummer Day: Closed.

Huippu Center Sports Centre & Trampoline Arena

• June 19–20: Closed. (Gym members can access the gym via the mobile app from 05:00 to 24:00).
• Sunday June 21: Open 12:00–18:00.

Accommodation & Champagne Bar Bella

Bella Lake Resort’s lakeside suites offer a unique accommodation experience for the Midsummer weekend. Each suite features its own private terrace and pier. The Café Pavilion terrace & Champagne Bar Bella are also open.
