Free After-School Sports for Children

School’s out – time to get moving! Join the fun at Bellacenter with free after-school sports activities!

Organised by Kuopion Reippaan Voimistelijat, this free after-school activity session gives children in grades 3–6 the chance to try new moves, develop their physical skills and enjoy an active afternoon with friends.

The sessions offer a relaxed and fun environment where children can move freely at their own pace, without structured lessons or guided exercises. Everyone is welcome, whether they’re already active in sports or simply looking for something fun to do after school.

The aim is to encourage children to be more active, develop a wide range of movement skills and give more schoolchildren the opportunity to enjoy an active afternoon. Through this initiative, Kuopion Reippaan Voimistelijat is also helping to make Kuopio one of Finland’s leading sports cities.

Participation is completely free, and no advance registration is required!

When & Where

Tuesdays, 20 October – 15 December 2026, 14:30–15:30 (weeks 43–51)

Location: Bellacenter, Siikaranta 4, Bellanranta, Kuopio. Entrance from the lakeside of the building.

Good to Know

• Children participate at their own risk. A representative of the sports club will be present to supervise the area.
• Children should bring a phone, watch or their guardian’s contact details in case of an accident.
• Outdoor shoes and clothing must be removed before entering the sports hall.
• All participants are expected to behave respectfully and follow staff instructions. Mobile phone use is not permitted during the session.
