Saana Pilkki 2026: Ice fishing fun and lively competition on March 21st
On March 21st, 2026, Bellanranta in Kuopio will host Saana Pilkki, a warm-hearted and energetic event for the whole family. The day combines the joy of ice fishing with delicious food and fun activities. The event is organized by entrepreneurship students from Team Academy (Jyväskylä) in collaboration with Kuopion Saana and Bella Lake Resort.
Attractive Prizes and Side Activities
The main event of Saana Pilkki is the ice fishing competition, featuring a massive €5,000 grand prize for the heaviest fish. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy delicacies from local food stalls and participate in light-hearted side competitions, such as the “Wife-Pushing” race with kicksleds. In this hilarious contest, pairs race across the ice on kicksleds.
Free activities for children include bubble football, pony rides, and mini-ATV driving.
Saana’s restaurants will serve customers all day, and the Sauna & Spa will be open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
